I wish to be picked up in the dream of a maple leaf
and secretly tucked away in a tree hollow.
I hope make stories with you and be written into your poetry,
But that’s not enough –
I seek your companionship.

When autumn come, I will find you under the eaves
and hide you in my laboratory.
I intend to bestow upon you the destiny of a tree.
When spring comes, I will return you to the earth.
Just remember that promise,
A thousand years from now,
You and I will still be here.

我要在枫叶的梦里被拾起
被悄悄地藏进树洞里
被一遍遍地讨好，编故事
被写进你的诗集里
我会欣然接受你的恩赐
但这还不够
我要你的承诺，我要你永久的陪伴

秋天来了，我会在窗檐下找到你
把你藏进我的实验室里，把你放到我的试管里
我要让你拥有树的命运
等到春天再把你放回土地里
记得那个承诺，
千年以后，
你我还会在这里
